AIC Impact began as a week. Together with the University of Amsterdam we built a full calendar around sustainable investment, from shareholder engagement strategies to being critical of ESG ratings, and put one question to every room: what do sustainability and impact actually mean once you are the one allocating the money?
The University of Amsterdam REC Impact Hub hosted the week. At REC Impact, students, researchers and societal partners work on innovation and entrepreneurship together, which is the same thing we were testing: that the people who will allocate capital should be arguing about this before they do it, not after.
One week was not enough. We rebranded Sustainable Investment Week into AIC Impact and kept the mission: to inspire, to be critical, and to be conscious. The full write up of the week is on the events page.
